Our Mission

Our mission is to relieve poverty, food insecurity, homelessness and distress among disadvantaged and marginalised people in our community. Through practical support, food relief and compassionate outreach, we work alongside vulnerable individuals and families to strengthen wellbeing, restore dignity and connection, and provide hope when it is needed most.
 

How We Live Our Mission

We provide compassionate, practical support to people experiencing homelessness, vulnerability and food insecurity. This includes food relief, nutritious meals, food hampers, clothing and essential items, after-hours street outreach, advocacy, referrals and other practical assistance during times of crisis.

Our food relief extends beyond homelessness. We rescue and redistribute food that might otherwise go to waste, support street-side community pantries, prepare food hampers for individuals and families, and work alongside community partners to help people struggling to afford everyday essentials.

We recognise that food insecurity can affect people from all walks of life — from someone sleeping rough who has not eaten that day, to an older person trying to stretch a limited income, or a working family struggling to keep food in the pantry as living costs rise.

We are committed to advancing social and public welfare by reducing disadvantage and supporting vulnerable individuals and families with dignity, compassion and respect.

Through grassroots outreach, advocacy, education and strong community partnerships, we promote connection, inclusion and a community where people look out for one another.

Hands Hearts Hope is dedicated to standing beside people when they need support — providing practical help, human connection and hope, while using creative storytelling, videos and music to raise awareness, inspire change and give a voice to the realities we see in our community.
